CALEB LAVERY-BROOK
Caleb Lavery-Brook
Caleb is
currently undertaking his Postgraduate studies at the Elder Conservatorium of
Music on an Australian Government Scholarship after recently completing his
Bachelor Degree of Music (Classical Performance - Classical Guitar) with First
Class Honours under the tuition of Dr. Oliver Fartach-Naini. He has also been
fortunate to have had masterclasses and private lessons with Australian and
International guitarists including Gary Ryan (United Kingdom), Ricardo Gallèn
(Germany), Martha Masters (United States) and Lee Song-Ou (South Korea).
Caleb
has placed first in several competitions and has won awards including Chamber
Music Adelaide (2019), AMEB Classical Guitar (LMusA) Award for Outstanding
Achievement (2018), SA Young Virtuoso Award (2018), Adelaide Eisteddfod (2015,
2017 and 2018) and the Balaklava Eisteddfod (2017). He has also been a
recipient of several scholarships including a Norwood Symphony Orchestra
Scholarship (2019), the prestigious Elder Conservatorium EMR Scholarship (2019)
and a scholarship from New-York based Classical Guitar Corner (2019).
Caleb
is a founding-member of the Opal Guitar Quartet, a teacher at the Elder
Conservatorium’s Open Music Academy and a teacher, conductor and committee
member for SAYGE the South Australian Youth Guitar Ensemble.
